The Three Ships Whisky’s much anticipated annual Online Sale offers South Africans the opportunity to add Master Distiller Andy Watt’s fifth limited edition Master’s Collection release – an 11-Year-Old Special Cask Finish – to their collection, at this exclusive online sale. The timing of this authentic online activation conceptualized by Three Ships Whisky, coincides perfectly with the approach of the festive season.

Just 400 of the 2994 bottles produced will be released online and available to purchase on Tuesday 20 October as part of the exclusive launch of this limited edition release.

This year the sale will take place in the magnificent setting of the Norval Foundation, located on the slopes of the Constantiaberg, where Watts and popular DJ, radio and television presenter and MC Loyiso Mdebuka – affectionately known as DJ Loyd – will co-host the event.  This renowned venue – a centre for art and cultural expression – provides the perfect backdrop to the one-of-a-kind artwork that will be created on-site by talented local artist Sipho Njengezi on sale day. Inspired by the latest release Master’s Collection, the artwork will illustrate the exceptional balance achieved from the cask finish of this fine whisky.

Watts explains just why this year’s release is exceptional: ‘We first matured the whisky for eight years in American oak barrels, before finishing it in seasoned Shiraz oak casks for three years, to achieve a finely blended Single Malt with an exceptional cask finish, in the grand tradition of the Master’s Collection range.’

‘This collectible release is a fine example of how South African whisky ingenuity is revolutionizing the whisky category.  It celebrates the tenacity of the dedicated team at the James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington, where this premium whisky range is produced,’ he proudly adds.

The online sale will go live at noon on Tuesday 20 October.
