Shoprite brought some Easter cheer to 120 senior citizens in Sydenham, Durban late last week.
A small celebration was held at the Mary Asher Homes For Aged where the Shoprite KwaZulu-Natal division surprised the elderly with hot cross buns and chocolate eggs.
“I would like to thank Shoprite for such a generous donation. It really means a lot to our senior citizens and it is good to know that a big company like Shoprite has not forgotten about it’s most important clients,” commented Noelene Goldstone, Home Manager.
“Shoprite and Checkers treated about 5 000 children and elderly people in vulnerable communities across South Africa to small celebrations during the course of last week,” commented Lunga Schoeman, CSI Manager for the Shoprite Group.
