Measuring the state of the autonomic nervous system in five minutes is now possible with the use of a new device, NervIQ, now available in South Africa.
A non-invasive measurement of heart and brain, the procedure (see video**) will identify the body’s ability to cope with different types of exercise, sympathetic and parasympathetic function, and the brain’s ability to cope with stress.
“This real-time data and critical physiological information based on heart rate variability,” the promotional literature notes, “enables medical professionals to make targeted therapeutic decisions.”
