The Made in Africa event will bring together the entire ecosystem for a two day high impact programme. Policymakers, investors, purchasing decision-makers, and local businesses will join us on 13 and 14 April 2021 from across the continent.
The gathering will kickstart a movement to achieve measurable impact, access to market opportunities, and economic growth across the industry. In order for this objective to be realised, we need to make sure that nobody gets left behind and that all relevant stakeholders participate, contribute, and collaborate. With a collaborative and unified focus on the objectives of Made in Africa, we can break physical barriers, link stakeholders online, and turn Africa into its own sustainable local supplier.
Who should attend
Procurement and Supply Chain professionals from the public and private sectors will attend and engage with policymakers about the reality of local sourcing and directing global spend back to the continent. Large corporates are also invited to lend support and host relevant and ready suppliers for the linkage programme.
SMMES and export-ready African businesses are invited to participate in the Made in Africa Programme and the facilitated matching to buyers across the continent. In addition to accessing public and corporate procurement, businesses also have the chance to collaborate and trade with each other. Made in Africa will also address the skills gap in Supply Chain Management – a common problem for any local business looking to expand across the continent.
