No need to miss out on all the delicious recipes which contain yoghurt, or that summer breakfast staple of a delicious bowl of muesli and yoghurt. Lactolite also has the advantage of having no added flavours or sweeteners, perfect for adding to any meal.

Some people are born lactose intolerant, but it is mostly an intolerance which occurs later in life. Many people believe that being lactose intolerant means that they are unable to eat any dairy products, which is incorrect. Lactose intolerance is an allergy caused by the body not producing the enzyme, lactase, which is required to digest lactose (milk sugar). Thankfully Lactolite has little to no lactose.

“When we saw estimates that as many as 70% of South Africans may be lactose intolerant, we thought they should not be missing out on our great yoghurts so we decided to develop a product especially for them,” said Fair Cape Dairies’ CMO, Louis Loubser. “We know that yoghurt is one of the most important sources of calcium and the B vitamins, so it is vital that it can still be included in the diets of those who are lactose intolerant.”

The Lactolite yoghurts are available at most stores that stock Fair Cape Dairies’ products in the Western Cape and Gauteng.
