Following on from a successful introductory webinar session which attracted more than 200 participants last week, the BHF Dialogue 2020 series Session Two, theme “Innovation driving healthcare deliver”, will take place this Tuesday, 4 August, between 09h00 and 12h00.

As pointed out by the convenors, COVID-19 has evocatively revealed fundamental truths, illustrating just how vulnerable healthcare systems are, with era-defining strains on capacity and delivery. Most health systems cannot keep up with the demand, stretching operational limits, creating shortages of nearly everything e.g. masks, gloves, ventilators and ICU beds.

In this session, to be facilitated by Ms Precious Matsoso, co-chair for Technical Group at the World Health Organisation and former D-G for Health, South Africa, panel members (below) will unpack hurdles that slowdown innovation and solutions that are currently disrupting healthcare delivery.
